Joan Rivers’ former personal manager is suing her for . . . claiming he was suing her.
In Manhattan federal court papers, Billy Sammeth says the comic stiffed him on commissions and defamed him by calling him a “missing manager” and saying in an interview that “he’s suing me.”
“Billy tried for months to amicably resolve this with Ms. Rivers. He wasn’t missing, and he wasn’t suing her — but now he is,” said his lawyer, Susan Chana Lask. He wants $2.2 million in damages. Rivers called the suit baseless.
