Actress Caitlin Sanchez, formally “Dora the Explorer”, Hires Lask for Complex Entertainment Dispute
Child Star Caitlin Sanchez, former “Dora the Explorer” of Nickelodeon, hired Susan Chana Lask for her complex Entertainment Contract dispute.
Caitlin complained of problems with her former counsel settling her contract dispute with Nickelodeon and insisting on taking a large chunk of Caitlin’s settlement.
Lask filed a Federal Rule Rule 60(b) motion on Caitlin’s behalf informing the Southern District of New York’s Federal Court of the settlement issues and requesting relief under New York’s Infant’s Compromise law.
That law requires heightened court scrutiny before a settlement involving a child is finalized, which never happened in Caitlin’s case.
The complaint explains that Caitlin just turned 15, and was even younger as a child involved when herd former counsel tried to take the bulk of her settlement from her despite Infant’s Compromise Laws setting limitations to counsel fees.
