On October 10, 2023, a New York City Animal Rescue group and a taxpayer filed a Federal Civil Rights suit against New York City’s Animal Control and Care shelter (“ACC”) and Mayor Adams for Freedom of Speech violations by prohibiting them from publicly speaking about the animal and financial abuses and mass killings of dogs at the NYACC.
